Yesterday, I made this floral arrangement for one of my clients, Matt who co-owns DreamLife. His floating home community had a big party, complete with great food, tasty beverages, fun water toys, and party barges!

June 28th, 2009Unique One-Dozen Roses

Jan wasn’t feeling well this week, so we went over to her place for dinner last night and brought her this unique one-dozen rose arrangement. Although, I like making traditional rose arrangments, I like the way this arrangement flows - a cascading swirl of non-red roses, incorporated with white daisy poms, ming ferns, and a touch of white wax flower.

The Pumpelly Yard Arrangement
June 14th, 2009
This afternoon, I called my web guy Jake (who’s also my buddy and old college boyfriend), and asked him to give me a tutorial on how to make simple changes to my website (without screwing it up). Next thing I knew, I got invited to his parents’ house for a BBQ where they have 2 acres of wildish land that butts up to Johnson Creek! Jake and I trudged through their yard and gathered a variety of greens and wildflowers (without hacking up anything that was intentionally planted by his parents). I created this yard arrangement on their back porch, as I enjoyed a delicious glass of Sauvignon Blanc with his family.
Mojitos, Anyone?

Happy 30th Birthday, Selina! I created lime-themed arrangements for Selina’s birthday bash. A feature arrangement, two small centerpieces for the food table, and a vertical arrangement for the restroom. This picture is of the featured arrangement on the side bar where the drinks were served.

Tulips & Myrtle
April 26th, 2009
I’ve been spending almost every weekend this month down at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn (owned by the Iverson Family). I’ve had the pleasure of talking to people about flowers, special care and handling of tulips, and demonstrating the usage of tulips in floral arrangements. This is a sample bridal bouquet with myrtle. I love the smell of myrtle.
